![]() ![]() Start in: "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2021" Target: "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2021\acad.exe" I reset my laptop and installed both AutoCAD 2021 and Civil 3D 2021 again, but now, I can't access AutoCAD itself.Ĭhecking both apps' desktop shortcut properties, I see both launch based on "acad.exe". Civil 3D just sometimes to import data from our total station. I use both separately, AutoCAD for 2D blueprints, construction work. Can't seem to find a way to open AutoCAD. Basically, BOTH programs launch as Civil 3D. I need both for work, but if I have to choose one, it'd be AutoCAD. Also, if the geometries include both polygons and lines, any lines that intersect polygons will split those polygons, which may not be desired.I've tried as much as I could to fix this. However, the output might be empty if there are no valid geometry combinations. If either the Source or the Overlay contains multiple geometries, you can select any feature class or layer in Overlay and any overlay operation in Type. The output might be empty if there are no valid geometry combinations. In that case, all Type options are available, even if some of them are invalid. However, if the Source or Overlay is binding data, AutoCAD Map 3D toolset cannot determine the geometry types before it executes the operation. The available choices for Type depend on the geometry in the Source and Overlay. If you select a polygon geometry as the Source, line geometries are not available as the Overlay. To compare line and polygon geometries, the line geometry must be the Source layer. ![]() ![]() The order of the geometries you select is important. If you select point geometry for Source, you can select only polygon geometry for Overlay. For example, Union and Symmetric Difference support polygon/polygon comparisons only. You can combine only certain types of geometries. The geometry in the feature classes or layers you select determines the other choices in the dialog box. ![]()
